Only customers who have completed ODC’s registration process and received confirmation of approval may participate in Spot Auctions.
Spot Auctions are held 10 times per year and follow a fixed annual schedule published on the ODC website.
Once registered and approved, you’ll be issued login credentials for the online platform: www.odcauctions.com.
An Authorised Bidder places bids on behalf of the registered customer. A maximum of two Authorised Bidders may be nominated per customer. They must complete mandatory training before participating.
Pre-Bidding is a 24-hour window before the auction starts where you can place initial bids. These bids carry through into Round 1.
No. If you don’t bid in Round 1, you’re not allowed to place bids in later rounds.
Yes, but only while a round is active. You can also move bids to other open Lots under certain conditions.
Winners are those with the highest Continue or Discontinue Bids at the close of a round, depending on the level of competition.
Tied bids are resolved randomly. To avoid this, use precise bid amounts (e.g., $244.17 instead of $244.00).
Yes. You can set Proxy Bids to automate bidding up to a maximum price, either during Pre-Bidding or active rounds.
Contact the Auction Manager immediately. Backup bidding may be allowed by email, phone, or fax – but only before the round ends.
Results are posted after each round. You can view won Lots, prices, and overall demand directly in the platform.
Invoices are issued after the viewing process concludes, based on the final Lot weights.
