Registration FAQs

How will I know if my registration is successful?

Successful registrants shall be informed by ODC in writing and ODC reserves the right to review and/or revoke this confirmation as, in its absolute discretion, it sees fit. ODC may review a Customer’s registration at any time and shall be entitled to request further registration information from a Customer at its sole discretion at any time.

What happens once I am registered?

Once a company, or individual, has successfully completed the registration process they are added to ODC’s customer list and will be invited to participate in future ODC sales.

Will I be required to provide additional registration information to ODC after successfully completing my initial registration?

Following successful registration, a Customer shall be required to provide further registration information in respect of any future Auctions in which it participates if: (i) the information provided in the Registration Form is no longer accurate, in which case the Customer shall update such information by written notice to ODC; or (ii) ODC otherwise requires the Customer to re-register. ODC must be in possession of accurate registration information at least ten working days prior to an Auction.

I have a business partner/customer/technical consultant who wishes to view goods at ODC with me, does he need to register?

Yes, all third parties who are providing either finance or expertise to an ODC registered customer are required to also complete the ODC registration process.

Will I be able to export goods from Botswana?

Customers who purchase from ODC will be able to export their purchases provided they are in possession of a Botswana Government Precious Stones Dealer’s Licence (PSDL).
